Growth That Makes Sense
Caledonia is growing. That’s not a bad thing. Growth brings opportunity, new families, and investment into the community.
But growth has to make sense.
When development moves faster than roads, schools, and services can keep up, people feel it every day. Traffic gets worse. Infrastructure gets stretched. Neighbourhoods change without much input from the people already living there.
And it’s not just what happens inside Ward 3. Decisions made in other parts of Haldimand County can have a direct impact here. Growth in areas like Nanticoke and Hagersville means more traffic and more pressure on Caledonia’s roads and services.
I will push for responsible development that keeps infrastructure in step with growth, and I’ll speak up when decisions outside Ward 3 start affecting the people who live here.
Communication You Don’t Have to Chase
You shouldn’t have to dig through a website or file a request just to understand what’s happening in your own community.
If a decision affects your taxes, your street, or your daily life, you should hear about it before it’s finalized, not after.
Too many people feel like they’re left out of the loop, or only hear from their councillor during election season.
That needs to change.
I will provide regular updates in plain language, be available to residents, and make sure people can get real answers without being passed around or ignored.
Accountability for the Basics
This isn’t complicated.
Roads should be maintained. Parks should be taken care of. Streetlights should work. Trash cans in parks should be emptied.
When residents report a problem, they should get a response, and they should see action.
I will push for better follow-through from the county and make sure that everyday issues don’t get brushed aside.
What I Will Do Differently
You won’t have to wait until election season to hear from me.
You won’t be left guessing about decisions that affect your neighbourhood.
And you won’t be chasing down answers without getting a response.
I will be present, accessible, and clear about what’s happening and why. When something doesn’t make sense for Ward 3, I’ll say it. When residents raise concerns, I’ll follow up.
This role is about showing up consistently, not just when it’s convenient.
A Councillor Who Shows Up
This role is about being present and doing the work, not titles or appearances.
I’m not running to sit quietly or go along with decisions that don’t make sense for Ward 3. I’m running to listen, ask questions, and represent the people who live here.
That means being accessible, being honest, and being willing to speak up when it matters.
Ward 3 deserves a councillor who shows up, follows through, and keeps people informed. That’s what I’m committed to doing.
